SUFFOLK RESEARCH SERVICES

I undertake both local and family history research. in fact as long as it has a link with Suffolk I will attempt to trace the history of any person, property, parish or business. I have lived in Suffolk al lmy life so I know the county 'like the back of my hand'. Equally I understand the local dialect which can be of enormous value when decyphering old phonetically written parish records, probate wills and other documents.

My research experience has covered from pauper to palace, manorial records to court rolls, as well as parish registers, census records, deeds, quarter sessions, tithes and probate sources.

Poor law is a speciality.

While most of my research is carried out at one of the three record offices in Suffolk, I do also frequent Norwich and Chelmsford R Os. (sorry no Military please).

I am happy to undertake a single event or enquiry or a complete study of a family name or property. nothing is too small or too large. i also undetake onsite research, such as churchyard visits or parish or property surveys (Exterior)

Digital photography of gravestones, properties and village scenes are another speciality. Photographs can be supplied as digital, or print copy. For new clients I ask for pyment with request, thereafter I am happy to work to an agreed limted overdraft.

Cheques should be made payabl to RAY WHITEHAND, please & thank you. Alternatively payment can be made by PayPal. For further information and costings please send details of research required via email or surface mail.
