SUFFOLK BUILDINGS
Suffolk has been enriched by a wealth of buildings over the centuries. Many of which still stand as a record of its glorious past. The guild hall at Laxfield, the market hall complex at Hadleigh and the whole town of Lavenham stand as a monument to the halcyon years of the woollen industry.
From the abbey ruins at Leiston and the churches which enriched nearly every parish dating back to the conquest and beyond; to the Willis Faber building in Ipswich acknowledged as one of the most innovative buildings of the 20th century.
Over the coming weeks I hope to construct details of some of the more notable structures which add value and content to this glorious county.
