Historical Suffolk Research Services

Thank you for contacting me with regards to helping with your research.

I undertake both local and family history research. In fact as long as it has a link with Suffolk, I will attempt to trace the history of any subject, be it person or premises, parish or trade or indeed anything else you may have a query on. The one exception being I do not do military history, which is a subject of it’s own right.

Otherwise no job is too small or too large, I am willing to carry out single look up searches, trace lost generations, or carry out a fuller study of your ancestry, property or parish etc.

I have lived in East Suffolk all my life so I know the locality ‘like the back of my hand’’. Equally I understand the local dialect, something that can be of value when deciphering old phonetically written manuscripts such as probate, manorial & estate papers, parish registers etc. as much of it was written as heard.
